Milton Massachusetts is located just 5 miles south of South Boston not far from Quincy MA. just off of Route 3.  It was once part of the town of Dorchester. The towns pride is its rich historical heritage, tree-lined streets, and acres of protected open space. The area was famous for the Walter Baker Chocolate factory which produced chocolate products from the turn of the century to 1965. At that time the building was converted into apartments. There are still many 19th century houses and estates existing in Milton.

Curry College is located in Milton with a full time enrolment of 1700 students. There are over 6 high schools and four primary/elementary level schools in the area serving Milton residents. The Milton public library is located at 476 Canton Avenue and offers over 100,000 books and video materials. The town has several small commercial areas including Milton Village and East Milton Square. There are plans to improve the Milton Village area including street improvements to Adams Street and Central Avenue. There are also four station rehabilitation projects planned for the Red Line’s Trolley Service area.
