About Robert FitzharrisI grew up just outside of Dublin, Ireland and moved to the U.S in 2000. I have 2 brothers in Boston and this obviously helped me in my decision to settle in South Boston. I studied culinary arts & professional cookery for several years in Dublin and in 1998 won a scholarship to Johnson & Wales in Providence, R.I. to further my studies. I have also competed at an international level cooking at the New York Food Show (1998), Hotelympia in London (1999) & the Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany in (2000) taking home several gold, silver and bronze medals.
I returned to Ireland and continued my studies in culinary arts until December of 2000 when I decided I was ready to make my move to Boston and the rest as they say is history. I started with Seaport Realty Group in 2005 and have been with them ever since. I interviewed with several offices before accepting a position with Seaport.
What really attracted me to them was their strong work ethic and team approach. Combined with their stellar reputation I really feel it was a perfect fit for me. Although becoming a Realtor was a completely new direction for me I have enjoyed every minute. I have had the chance to meet so many wonderful people along the way and have remained friends with so many of them all these years later. Having been in South Boston since 2000 I have really feel I know the town, my town, so well and can convey my knowledge to so many people moving into the area.
Although I mainly work with people moving in and moving out of South Boston, I have helped my clients buy and sell all over the state. I have helped them as far north as Amesbury and Newburyport, as far west as Grafton and Worchester and as far south as Cape Cod. Wherever you are looking to buy or sell throughout the state of Massachusetts just give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you.

I enjoy running and I ran the 2009 Chicago Marathon (4:20) and the 2010 Boston Marathon (4:31). I don’t think I’m done yet either. I have another few still left in me. I ran the Boston Marathon in memory of my Grandfather and my namesake Robert Fitzharris who passed away stricken with Alzheimer’s. My good friends Brian and Peter McCourt and their fantastic family established the McCourt Foundation 19 years ago now to raise awareness for both MS and Alzheimer’s and fund research into finding cures for these diseases. Thank you to you all for your fantastic support for both myself and my Boston Marathon run and for your continued support of the McCourt Foundation. Here’s to the 2011 Boston Marathon and doing it all over again….
My fundraising total was $6,300 for Boston 2010. Thank you to you all!
